Guest guest
Dear Sushma,

I will be happy to post some thoughts from the Srimad Bhagavatam and about the book - but I am notd sure what concept you are referring to when you say 'to better understand the concept'. The Srimad Bhagavatam contains 18,000 verses and there are elaborate commentaries on these verses from our Acharyas. There are also many Gaudiya books written to show the excellence ot the Bhagavatam. Jiva Goswami was the most prolific writer of the Gaudiya's. He is credited with writing over 400,000 verses which places him second only to Veda Vyasa in terms of his literary output. Jiva's most important work is the Sat Sandarbha where he lays the foundations of the Gaudiya theology and supports the philosophical concepts with scriptural evidence. You may be particularly interested in the Tattva-Sandarbha wherein he establishes the Bhagavatam as the spotless purana and the ultimate source of revelation - shastra pramana. My spiritual master, Sripad B.V. Tripurari Swami has written a book outlining and presenting the concepts Jiva conveys in this important work. You can obtain a copy of the book at http:/dailysanga.com This site is also a very good site to learn more about Gaudiya Siddhanta in general.

Let me know what you are looking for and I will try to find some pertinant scripture to quote here for all of our benefit.

your servant
Audarya lila dasa
