Guest guest
Once Jesus and His disciples were visiting a Synagogue (a Jewish place of worship) during the time of making offerings to God. There were many rich people who gave large sums of money as an offering to the Lord. There was also a widow who had come to make her offering.

The widow was very poor and all she had was two cents. She offered both the cents to God, even though it was all the money she had. She could have used the money to at least buy some bread.

Seeing this, Jesus turned to His disciples and said, "This poor widow has offered more than all the others' offerings put together. While the others have given only a portion of their great wealth, this widow has given to God all that she has."

Moral: Jesus teaches us that what matters is not how much one gives to God, but how much one keeps for oneself. The more a seeker surrenders to God, the more He takes care of the seeker. Regular spiritual practice is a sure way to develop the kind of surrender that the poor widow had unto the Lord.

With love
Sanatan gs
