Guest guest
a short discussion
To: hankaba

Dear Sir/Madam,

Received color greetings which was inspiring.
Let me share some thoughts on devotion.
(1) Man-mana bhava mad-bhakto
Mad-yaji mam namasturu
Mam evaisyasi yuktvaivam
Atmanam mat-parayanah

Engage your mind always in thinking of Me, become My
devotee, offer obeisances to Me & worship Me. Being
completely absorbed in me, surely you will come to Me.
(Bh. Geeta 9.34)

(2) Aham sarvasya prabhavo
Mattah sarvam pravartate
Iti matva bhajante mam
Budha bhava-samanvitah
I am the source of all spiritual & material worlds.
Everything emanates from me. The Wise who perfectly
know this engage in My devotional service & worship Me
with all their hearts. (Bh. Geeta 10.8)

(3) Sarva - aharman parityajya
Mam ekam saranam vraja
Aham tvam sarva-papebhyo
Moksayisyami ma sucah
Abandon all varieties of religion & just surrender
unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful
reactions. Do not fear. (Bh. Geeta 18.66)

Then I thought if every fellow human being understood
the essence of the ‘Guru’s instructions, how one’s
this & the life after will become beautiful &
meaningful. If everyone according to one’s own present
position accepts the Karma, Jnana, Dhyana, Bhakti Yoga
accordingly, as stated by ‘Krishna’, & tries to
implement it in their daily lives (not commit suicide
by remaining ignorant), then the real meaning of the
words will be revealed. The human form is far precious
to waste.

I, got my answer that real ‘Mantra’ is one which is a
divine sound vibration that delivers the mind from
illusion & when a person chants a mantra consisting of
the Lord’s name, his mind is freed of distress & he
comes to the state or transcendental peace in God
consciousness. Well, that was the ‘Real Mantra’ which
I was looking for, the one which could be implemented
practically every minute.

Further, ‘Srimad Bhagavatam,’ the fruit of the entire
vedanta sutra made me realise the importance of ‘Nava
Vidha’ Bhakti which could become the basis of our
daily lives.

(4) Sravanam Kirtanam Visnoh
Smaranam Pada Sevanam
Archanam Vandanam Dasyam
Sakhyam Atma Nivedanam

(Bhag. 7.5.23)

I hope everyone realises that the leelas of ‘Krishna’
are not only historical but are the spiritual
activities in us, the realisation of the self, which
means realising the spiritual values of the soul.

How beautiful our lives will become in todays polluted
atmosphere if we all live spiritually & to live like
that in todays era lets follow the day to day
Maha-Mantra:

(5) Harer nama harer nama
Harer namaiva kevalam
Kalau nasty eva nasty eva
Naasty eva gatir anyatha

and live peacefully with all the beings.

Offered at the Lotus feet of the ‘Sad Guru Sai’.

Do please accept my knowledge shared through bhaktas.

Thanks
Devarj.V

Hare Krishna dear members , I am only forwarding this wonderful text, Hanka
