Guest guest
Dear Mr. Omprem,

Thanks for a very enlightening note on the Kleshas. Have not seen a similar view earlier on Kleshas.

Would like to share another view which also talks of self-realisation by discarding the nescience around our soul.

According to the science of Spirituality, an individual comprises of a physical body and a subtle body. The main component of the subtle body is the soul, which is a part of Brahman (God Principle).
The soul and the nescience around it together form the embodied soul.
The nescience has nineteen components in all - the five subtle sense organs, five subtle motor organs, five cosmic energies, mind, subconscious mind, intellect and ego.
Only the soul of a Self-realized or Liberated person (spiritual level of 100%) is liberated from the bondage of nescience, due to purification of all the components of nescience. Due to this, such a person’s soul has merged with God, in life as well as after renouncing the physical body.
Just as a drop of oily water has to lose all the oil impurities to completely merge with pure water, an individual has to liberate himself from the bondage of nescience, before his soul can merge with the God Principle. Most people today (average spiritual level is 20%) are nowhere near the spiritual level of Liberation, and hence, their embodied souls do not merge with God after death.
Spiritual progress or the removal of nescience is only possible through intense spiritual practice, and this process continues over many births.
Thus, only the soul of the seeker at 100% spiritual level will merge with the God principle after His death.

Source :
http://www.sanatan.org/weekly/2001/080/issue.htm#misconcepts
<\ br>Love to all,

Sanatan

Glenn - Sampada Pereira
