Guest guest
A Bengali poet says, "Heaven and Hell can't be far from here. They are in the midst of people and amongst people are gods and demons" ["Kotha shorgo kotha norok k boley ta bohudur, manusher majhey shorgo norok- manushetey shura-shur] (It may be Tagore, but I am not sure).

Quoting this poet, I would say the evil exists within and has to be fought within. Once we have (each one of us) conquered the evil, we have destroyed the ‘Asura’.

Maa Durga killed Mahisha, but after Mahisha had danced for sometime. So, maybe Maa Durga is resting now, as in the Devi Mahatmayam she said 'Roar, roar, O fool, for a moment while I drink this wine. When you sill be slain by me, the devas will soon roar in this very place.'
