Guest guest
Thank you all my dear members of my spiritual family .. (I tried naming you all, but there was no space) to those who share their love and time with us and all our other silent members for making this "home" a little point of light at this time of severe trial for all. Thank you baba .. for reminding me you all are here.

This time of trial and that which is still to come has challenged us in so many ways. These kind of events tend to drain everybody, specially sadhaks, who struggle to stay grounded in the Truth they learn in their journey, as they go about participating in the events they need to. Or at least speaking for myself it has been a draining week for me.

On Sunday I went to another spiritual family for a renewal. As we held hands and shed our tears, we asked for healing for ourselves. The key words were 'surrender' and allowing and observing the flow of emotions; fear, anger, sorrow, grief, and shock, to cleanse ourselves of the overwhelming emotions, so toxic to our spirit.

As I watched the towers crumble in shock I saw the crumbling of a kind of innocence, mockingly called naiviety or pollyanna simplicity that is so typical of sadhaks who believe in the TRUTH. The hurtful events following the attack has further attempted to shatter the faith in people as people under ONE TRUTH ONE "GOD".

In our church we continued with the service with our minister bringing attention to the lessons we have to learn through all this trauma. Collective karma, an oppotunitity to look at the messages being given to us, individually and collectively. He led us through some powerful affirmative prayers called Spiritual Mind Treatments. As we deliberately and consiously moved our energies from our hurt filled solar plexus to our heart chakras, we transmuted the sadness to a greater love and understanding towards the world, the family of human beings. We wished we had a World flag to fly side by side to the American flag to declare the solidarity of citizens among the world.

As we were finishing up, our pianist started playing a piece of haunting music. A few chords into it some members began to hum. A little later the whole congregation began to sing out its words, as we all cried with hope. This is what we sang -

Imagine - John Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religon too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

Imagine no possesions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
In a brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say i'm a dreamer
But i'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one
---------
We realized the power of vision. Unmanifest reality. And with that we reaffirmed our need to hold on that dream. "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me".

May each of you be blessed, may each of you be a point of light illuminating your space, may each of you be in peace, may each of you be love.

_/\_

Uma
