Guest guest
Does going to temples, praying, following any particular saint etc really matters! For me I felt nothing by doing any of such acts. I may have missed something during this but what I achieved is real significant for me. I came to know that spirituality is in very simple terms; happiness and internal harmony.
I have felt the internal enlightenment during happiness. I have came to know what does dhyan means when I was lost in happiness. The experience of that peace is which I never found, in any temple, church or via prayers, and listening to some saint etc. This was my knowledge, purely for me. What I learned dosent matter. How I learned also is insignificant for me. The most significant part is that at last I learnt atleast something worth to my existence.
I am not that much trained spirit in spirituality. What I know is what I have felt and seen. No bookish knowledge and nothing. It is simple joy. And this is what I feel, spirituality means joy, emerging from ur internal self due to harmony and peace. Maybe this is the reason why god is also called as "Parmanand" in hinduism.
Guest guest
Crusader,

I feel as you do. I glimpsed a oneness with God and the Universe through my yoga practise. All other beliefs relating to Hinduism have come after this fleeting and joyful unity with the Self. I suffer from depression, so sometimes I lose heart and faith ... prayers are thus occaisionally useful to me. In general, though, I feel that the ritualisation of my spirituality is unnecessary, while developing my connection and devotion to God through meditation, yoga, reflection and reading the scriptures is of more importance.

Just my humble opinion.

Padma
Guest guest
Ur opinion is most welcome. It is all the beleif which matters. Those who offer prayer to gods and devotes to the sculpture also gains the same peace as a person who simply feels the god with him. It is all just a matter of beleif. And whatever you beleive, or perceive the ultimate goal always remain the same.

Aasim.
