Guest guest Posted October 11, 2001 Report Share Posted October 11, 2001 Dear sadhaks,<br><br>While we carry a steriotype image of a GURU (safron clad / mistic /holy person, the other<br>interpretation of "GURU" can be as follows:<br><br>the word "Guru" can be seen to be derrived from "Gurutva" the approximate equivalent to the word 'Gravity',the sum substance of existence.<br><br>At different stages of human life in this world, the 'Center of Gravity' keeps changing as follows: <br><br>Child Parents<br><br>Teenage Teacher<br><br>Youth Guide/leader<br><br>Adulthood Spiritual leader<br><br>Matured Conscience Adult <br>It is said that guru enlightens sadhak to enable him (empowers him) to find/reach his ultimate destination in this journey of life.<br><br>can we take some clue from Bhagavadgita which says:<br>Udhdharet atmanatmanam...<br><br>Destiny is not a matter of chance but a choice... <br> <br>Tasmai shree guruvae namaha Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
