Guest guest
Blessed Self, silentoppositon

1. Science

The scientific enquiry that you value so much continues to validate the messages of the Vedas. Every scientific discovery, even those at the remote experimental fringes of science have confirmed what the Vedas tell us. There is no scientific discovery that has invalidated anything contained in the Vedas.

Moreover, your insistence on 'reason and realism, as you call it, is seriously flawed. Every scientific discovery has used reason and logic as only a first step. Those moments of discovery, the 'Eureka' moments are the result of an intuitive leap. Some would say that those moments are instances of an unconscious accessing of the knowledge contained in the chakras.

The greatest enemy that Man has had in the last 400 years is Rene Descartes and his insistence on reason above all. It is interesting that Descartes arrived at this theory because of an agreement that he made with the Church whereby he would not comment on things that the Church considered to be its domain in return for the Church allowing him access to bodies for dissection.

2. Consciousness

You continue to insist on a difference between yourself and Tatwamasi on the topic of consciousness when, in fact, there is only agreement. You say, "Our mind is shaped by the objects that we work on. The tools and implements that we use in day-to-day work and our quest for work and to improve our work shapes our consciousness." Tatwamasi says, ""But one does not realize that the objective world appears out of the delusions of one's own mind." The difference between the world of senses "shaping the mind' and "deluding the mind" is nil.

You only postulate a false disagreement on consciousness in order to move into your real theme of oppression of the masses, the downtrodden classes.

3. Karma

The historical perspective that I gave did not show inherent contradictions in religions. It showed that the directly perceived Truth of karma and reincarnation liberates the knower. To not know that Truth keeps the uninformed in darkness and in self-imposed bondage to the senses and the ego.

The Truth of karma and reincarnation was vibrant enough to be kept alive by those fortunate enough to know It even in the face of torture and death. It was kept alive not only by the masses and the groups that I mentioned but also by those considered to be saints.

Once again you only use the subject of karma to introduce your theories of subjugation of the masses.

to be continued...
