Guest guest
Shakti has always been present in people's lives. In clubs or out of clubs.
In one's day-to-day lives, one sees the various forms of Shakti. Which makes one wonder - what is the Mother like.

This reminds me of a Bengali song (by the Kali devotee Ramprasad), a few words/lines in which are:

"Pankey Baddha Koro Kori
Pangurey Laghao Giri
Karey dao Maa Barhma Pada,
Kaarey koro Adhogaami"

(You trap an elephant in mud
You make a lame person climb a mountain
You raise some to the level of Brahma,
And some you give the worst)

One says everything that happens is Karma. And it is this Karma, which the devotee says, is the will of Shakti. {I tend to use the words Shakti and Mother interchangeably but I mean the same thing}. Everything is Mother's will.

A lot of things are happening in the world today. Hatred has increased. People have developed a severe feeling of animosity towards their brethren. Hindu mythology states that Kali had started massive destruction. Drunk with the blood of Raktavija whom she had devoured whole, she was slaughtering any that dared cross her path, adorning Herself with the heads and limbs of her victims. To pacify the raving Goddess and end Her frenzied havoc, Shiva threw Himself at her feet. She stopped, struck her tongue out at her mistake.
What is happening today? Countries are attacking countries. People are attacking people. US is waging a war against Afghanistan and people are scared.

My question is (after this big introduction) is this all the role of Shakti? If so…where will it end? Is the play of the asuras or the dance of Kali? Will there be a Shiva to pacify the mother if she is dancing her dance of doom?
