Guest guest
Continued from above view

Perseverance - in Spirituality refers to maintaining continuity in one's spiritual practice. The mind is the greatest obstacle to perseverance, as the mind likes continual change and it is the function of the mind to first resolve to do something and then have doubts about it. Due to this, generally, a resolution to do something (such as exercise) regularly tapers off after a while. Persevering in spiritual practice is even more difficult, as it is a subtle science. Like everything else, one could develop perseverance too, in steps. For example, if one wants to wake up early every day, instead of reducing one's wake up time from say, 8:00 am to 6:00 am all at once, one should reduce it to 7:30 am and continue to wake up at 7:30 am for a couple of weeks. Once one is comfortable waking up at 7:30 am, he could reduce the wake up time to 7:00 am for the next few weeks till he is comfortable with the new wake up time, and so on.

Love to all,

Sanatan

Glenn - Sampada
