GURU<br><br>Questioner: How long does one need a

guru?<br><br>Bhagavan Ramana: For as long as there is ignorance. The

guru-in-other words, God manifesting - guides the devotee

saying that God is in you and that He is the Self. This

leads to introversion of mind and finally to

realization. Effort is necessary until realization. Even then,

the Self should become evident spontaneously. Until

that state spontaneity is<br>attained, some form of
