Changeover from Clubs to groups!

Dear Members<br><br>The following has been

brought to our notice. <br><br>“No new clubs can be

started at this time. “If you attempt you will receive

the following error message:

that this means the conversion

date is finally nearing. To prepare, you will need to

make sure that you are using an email address that you

don't mind becoming public. Later on in the conversion

process, you will be able to make your address private

again, but at first your address will be

public.”<br><br>While we may get more specific instruction at a later

date, I want to brief you on the conversion as far as

we know now. <br><br> will convert the entire

club into the group format. The name of club,

membership list, links, photos, will all get transferred.

<br><br>1. We haven’t yet been told when Groups will be

interfaced on the My page. Till then, go to

Groups Home page to access your club/groups at -

<a href=/. target=new>/.</a> You

can add this link to your My

(<a href=/ target=new>/</a>) bookmarks and

access it directly.<br><br>2. The

default setting for messages/posts in groups as of now is

“receiving by email”. Therefore you may find yourself

bombarded with posts from all the clubs you belong to when

the change takes place. While I know that can be

annoying, PLEASE DO NOT PANIC. To change you HAVE to go to

your club/groups on homepage -

<a href=/. target=new>/.</a> Go to

“My Preferences” on top right of page. Make

appropriate changes.<br><br>3. On left column you will see a

list of the groups where you are a member. Click the

link for the club. It will be listed as

<a href=/ target=new>/</a>

<name of club> on the group homepage. Go to

“Edit My Membership” and make sure “No Email” is

checked in “Message Delivery”. This will stop mesages

being sent to your mailbox. Unfortunately you will have

to do that for each club you belong to. <br><br>4.

We are still hoping that will transfer the

mail preferences as is in the clubs but we are not

sure yet. <br><br>For more details of change see
