Guest guest
I read this article on soundarya lahiri and lalita sahasranama which i would like to share.

A close and comparative study of both the works, Lalitasahasra-nama of Brahmanda Purana and Soundarya Lahiri reveal that scores of names(like Mahamaya, Vijaya, etc) from the former have been taken and incorporated into the latter, several more(like Cintamani-griha, Rakenduvadana etc.) with synonymous or similar meanings, and still scores of other names(like Mata, Janani, Siva etc.) are taken partly. Sometimes one is unaware as to which work one is actually reading - lalita sahasranama or soudarya lahiri. One often feels that there is laliyam in Lalitasahasranama and Soundaryam in Soundarya Lahiri where Lalityam and Soundaryam mean the same, Beauty-par-excellence.

Actually the first sloka of Soundarya lahiri starts thus - Sivaa Sakyah yukto, with the last name Siva-saktyaikya-rupini of the lalita sahasranama, as if the writing of Soundarya Lahiri had started soon after the finishing the reading of Lalita sahasranama.
