Guest guest Posted November 19, 2001 Report Share Posted November 19, 2001 "Maybe people cling to their Masters and Gurus because they are afraid to take that final step.......to be their own master?"<br><br>The True Master never lets you do this,<br>the True master sees this, even from afar,<br>because the true master is merged in all things,<br>the master knows the condition of every disciple,<br>even though she may have thousands.<br>The Master is the inner heart of all.<br>The Master shows one this.<br>Clinging to any limited idea of a Master is ones own projection of limitation,<br>the Master is not limited by this and neither are we.<br>Deep within, where the Masters' dwelling is,<br>is the seed of the entire universe,<br>this experience is total love.<br>Though we see through our own glasses,<br>the Master breaks these glasses,<br>these shades to the sun.<br><br>Though the Master is all pervasive,<br>And Is the true Self of all,<br>Within every heart the Master dwells!<br>The Wise and Humble ones',<br>Who strive for the Truth,<br>Bow to their own Self<br>In the purified form of the Guru,<br>Though the Guru is not limited to time and space,<br>The Supreme Guru, the Lord of all,<br>For a mind that wishes to know beyond itself,<br>Out of sweet compassion,<br>Takes a form just like ours as a pure example,<br>Which the mind finds easy to contemplate.<br>The Guru is the perfected human,<br>Humaness as it is ment to be.<br>The Gurus' words are perfection,<br>The Gurus' actions are perfection,<br>The Gurus' thoughts are perfection,<br>The Gurus' vision is perfection,<br>And filled with enough heat to burn away all limitations with a single gaze,<br>Who is willing to let go of themself?<br>The Guru takes form,<br>In order to set the seeker free of seeking.<br>The physical Guru is like a doorway,<br>From which one walks through the limited aspect of the physical,<br>that is trapped by time and space of place,<br>Into that which is infinite and all pervasive.<br>The living Master is a pure reflection of ones own potential.<br>Clinging to the Master, one is freed from clinging,<br>Even to the Master.<br>Not many understand this.<br>Not many have the courage to surrender,<br>To one who is like a furnace for the infinite.<br>The Guru is like a Master potter,<br>Guidence from without,<br>support from within.<br>In the end, a beautiful form pronounces itself resplendid,<br>Yet transparent and luminous like a piece of clear glass with the sun behind it.<br>Only at the right time does one meet the genuine Master.<br>I thought I was going to meet a Master,<br>Instead, I found my own Self,<br>In all forms, In all places,<br>At all times.<br>I thought I was going to meet a Master,<br>Instead, I found my own heart.<br>I found.................................the Bliss of Freedom.<br><br> Love, Hari<br><br>Saint Clement of Alexandria said,<br><br>"The word of God becomes a human being,<br>so that we may also learn from a human being,<br>how a human being becomes God."
