And He Who dispenses bondage and liberation (according to one's deserts) and TRANSCENDS all and sends forth Illusion (Maya), is God. <br><br>dharma tem birati joga tem gyaanaa <br>gyaan mokhaprada veda bakhaanaa <br>jaatem begi drava vum mai bhaayee <br>so mama bhagati bhagata sukhadaayee <br><br>From the practice of virtue springs dispassion; from the practice of yoga (austerity), spiritual wisdom; spiritual wisdom is the bestower of liberation- so declare the Vedas. <br>But, brother, that which MELTS AWAY My heart QUICKLY is DEVOTION, which is the Supreme Delight of My Votaries! <br><br>so swatantra avalambana aanaa <br>tehi aadheena gyaana vagyaanaa <br>bhagati taata anupama sukha moolaa <br>milayi jo santa hohim anukoolaa <br><br>Devotion (DIVINE LOVE) STANDS by ITSELF and REQUIRES NO OTHER stay; <br>On It DEPENDS ALL Jnana, Knowledge, spiritual or profane. <br><br>DEVOTION, dear brother, is INCOMPARABLE and the very SOURCE of BLISS, but it can ONLY be obtained by favor of the virtuous Rasik Saints. <br><br>bhagati ki saadhana kahaa bakhaanee <br>sugama pamtha mohi paavahi praanee <br>prathama hi vipra charana ati preetee <br>nija nija dharma nirata shruti reetee <br><br>yehi kara phala puni vishaya viraagaa <br>taba mama dharma upaja anuraagaa <br>shravanaadika nava bhagati driDhaaheem <br>mama leelaa rati ati mana maaheem <br><br>Now I tell you of the means of acquiring DEVOTION, the EASY path by which men may FIND Me. <br><br>First, one SHOULD cultivate exceeding Devotion to the feet of the Saints and Sages and pay attention to one's own natural worldly duty, as the Vedas prescribe. <br><br>Next, the fruit of this will be indifference to the pleasures of senses, and DISPASSION in its turn will GIVE RISE to a DELIGHT in My WORSHIP. <br>This will bring steadfastness in the nine forms of DEVOTION- listening to the Glories of the Lord and the rest- <br>and there will be an EXCEEDING LOVE in the soul for My Divine Sport. <br><br>santa charana pankaja ati premaa <br>manakrama bachana bhajana driDha nemaa <br>gurupitu maatu bandhu pati devaa <br>saba mohi kahamjaanai driDha sevaa <br><br>Who is deeply ENAMOURED of the lotus feet of the Holy Rasik Saints and who follows with dedication and commitment in thought, word and deed recognizing NONE but Me as his Guru, Father, Mother, Brother, Spouse, God and All, becomes steadfast in My Service. <br><br>mama guna gaavata pulaka shareeraa <br>gadagada giraa nayana baha neeraa <br>kaama aadi mada dambhana jaakem <br>taata niramtara basa mai taakem <br><br>I am ever, dear brother, at the COMMAND of My votary, who experiences a THRILL running through his entire body while singing My perfections with FALTERING voice and STREAMING eyes; and in whom is found NO worldly desires or pride or HYPOCRISY. <br><br>vachana karma morigati bhajana karahim nishkaama, <br>tinha ke hridaya kamala mahu karaum sadaa vishraama <br><br>In the lotus hearts of THOSE who in THOUGHT, WORD and DEED make Me their Place of REFUGE and ADORE Me in selfless Divine Love, I TAKE UP My ABODE ETERNALLY!!!" <br><br>On hearing the Doctrine of Bhakti (Divine Love) thus expounded, Lakshmana was exceeding glad and bowed his head at the feet of the Lord. <br><br>Rama Lakshmana Janaki, <br>Jaya bolo Hanuman ki! <br><br>Jaya Sri Radhey!
