Guest guest
Yes dear Samadhi means the state of super-consciuosness, where one is merged with the supreme consciousness.

As per Hindu philosophy, there are two types of samadhis, one is Savikalpa samadhi (samadhi in which duality remains) and Nirvikalpa samadhi (where duality vanishes)....and it is Nirvikalapa samadhi, which is a point of no-return ! where one is merged into the supreme bliss.

We are anxious to know your views.

silent soul
Guest guest
"the desire for it (sex)" is very true...if we desire, we cannot and will not in all good conscious go further in the path......in love, mirabai

Guest guest
Mirabai has so beautifully written <if we desire, we cannot and will not in all good conscious go further in the path......in love, mirabai> How true it is our desire which has brought us down to human consciousness from supreme!

Dear wakeinbliss: Unfortunately i have no knowledge about christian philosophy though i love Christ very much. Perhaps one of our learned friend will answer the questions.

As regards different meanings, only while discussing will we be able to explore further depths of our philosophy.

Hinduism has different paths of Bhakti,Kundalini yogas, Karma, Tantra and Advaita (non-duality) and each has its own definitions of Moksha (enlightenment) but the final goal in paths is same.

In very general terms, Hinduism says that One Supreme soul (call it god), by his own Maya (illusion power), apparantely covers itself by ignorance and sees itself as many (as universe). Human life is a journey back to the Truth where we by chosing either of the paths, remove our ignorance and find out the eternal truth about ourselves that we are in fact a spark of that supreme soul and our ego mind and body are nothing but an illusion.

We do have a separate philosophy on the Sound energy and we call if Shabda Brahma (the God as sound energy) about which i am giving a small description in my next post.

Hari Aum
