Guest guest
Greetings to all,

I have a nagging question which I hope someone can resolve for me.

In one of his writings, 'Lord Siva and His Worship', Sri Swami Sivananda mentioned that "it is easier to please Lord Siva than Lord Hari". He did not elaborate further on his statement. Can anyone shed some light on this?

This query is in no way meant to incite any sectarian disputes. I just wish for some clarification on Swami Sivananda's statement. He has gone on record elsewhere as saying that Lord Siva is not different from Lord Vishnu, so I find this "harder to please" statement puzzling. Did he mean to say that more exacting standards (of behaviour, speech, diet, etc...) is expected from the sadhaka who worships Lord Vishnu, than from the one who worships Lord Siva?

Thanks for your help.

OMnamahsivaaya
gene...really puzzled
