Guest guest
Yoga leads us all toward our heritage and nature in the perfection of God in uniom whilst in the flesh as Jesus.
we are not here to be spiritual gurus living in a dazed over glaze of cultish conformity anymore than to live in chritian hypocrasy with dogmatic views equally as mind sucking as eastern philosophy to gurus, similiar and as desceptive as westrns giving nature over to psycics and higher guides and angels and nonesense.
western and eastern pagan in ceremony and reverance to idols and personifications of christ.
Listen to the inner voice,be honest and good natured and see creation unfolding in all that is.
Ignore religious pontification or listen only as an an annoyance like abee around ones ear, nothing more.
to still oneself one has only to be still.
Needing anything more or needing a 'guru
is an illusion or a cult so run fast for the inner hills and leave behind those glazed eyed idiots to their own inner demons needing salvation
Guest guest
Occupation: Living to Give and Love Others

Calling others "idiots" is what you feel is living to give and love others? The occupation listed above is what is on your profile. Just another fake, another hypocrit? Please say it aint so! in love, mirabai
Guest guest
How nice the statement!. Our occupation is to give and to love others rather not to take and not to hate others.

Thanks Mirabai highlighting this nice thought.
-dduttaroy
Guest guest
hrmmm...then by your own definition, you would have advised Peter and the rest of the Apostles to run from Jesus, thus an entire religious belief as many know today would be erased. My advise about guru is, (pardon me Forrest Gump!) "Guru is as Guru does."

Krsna advises in Gita, "Abandon religion and simply surrender to me. I will protect you, have no doubt." If I beheld the glory of God, I'll bet my eyes would glaze over too. Would that I find that guru who can take me on that path with him...

om tat sat

>:*)

Guest guest
I suppose I can understand why my comment on gurus would bring worms from the wood, calling me hateful and unlovable and blah blah blah.
But I feel it is unnesassary to have a go-between between God and I.
There are hundereds of cults that hide themselves in white coats, pretending to be shepards of the Faith.
A guru is like a teacher but life is the teacher not some little man in a white dress.
Every life situation teaches.Every person we meet in life whether for a moment,a season or a lifetime teaches us.
The heart within is the guru, the mind its student.
When the heart withIn is sincere and honestly seeking for no reason other than a love for Truth and a desire to know God,there is no real reason to follow someone elses heart and mind to know God.
Self realization and God realization comes when with Grace the heart opens up and the inner soul wakes up and takes a breath.
People dont need gurus and preachers to know God.They need a sincere and open heart.
More and more temples and churches are being built all over the world because people are like beasts who chose not to think or lead but to sit and listen like little lost sheep. They are taught to do this and do that usually to no avail and they become disheartened and disconected.sometimes they give up all their possessions to these cults and pay lots of money to listen to the ring leader.
And the temples get bigger and the churches get bigger and the cult coffers get fuller and the people get even more lost and unconscious.
To love does not mean to simper and placate others, sometimes it means to help wake them up,even if they need a good shake.
To hear the sound of God one needs to be already singing on the inside to pick up the tune.
To know God is to be unafraid of what others may think as they follow others that say they know God.Much better to know God personally.
Jesus was a man.He didnt set Himself up in temple
nor did He name Himself teacher or guru, others gave Him these names. He told all of us the Kingdom of God is withIn and to seek first God and everything else would be added.
He didnt say seek a guru first and God will be added later!
Jesus was homeless,His home the homes of others who welcomed Him in.His home the world,His church and temple under the canopy of the open sky.His pulpit the sides of mountains and sitting and talking with people in small groups.
One day all the temples and churches will be levelled, and good riddance!
people would be better off just loving one another and welcoming others into their homes and seeing the Light Of Jesus withIn every face and every smile.Jesus did more than hand out food for the body but gave us food for the soul and for thought.
There have lived many wonderful men and women we could all do well to learn a lesson or two from as we carry on in life.We teach each other and we learn from each other, not from a title.
People can make judgements and call me names all they like, just goes to show how little they actually know
Guest guest
I find it rather funny that you insist on calling people names (worms? how you belittle yourself),yet you profess such a love of Jesus and God. I agree with much of what you say, the "guru" is within all of us as the divine. Yet, some feel a need to find a teacher outside of themselves in order to be pointed to their path. So be it. It is not for me to judge that or make harsh and hostile comments about it either. I make choices for myself only. What a grand ego one must have to make choices for everyone else one disagrees with? You are a mirror to those you are criticizing, as they my friend, are a mirror to you. Again, I go to your own description in your profile....yet, the last line of your post shows you truly do not believe this yourself, so how do you expect others to believe it? If you truly belive that you are here to love others, why not show this by your posts? What good does attacking do? What good does belittling others do? Are you so much better that you feel you can make a judgement of who knows what or how much? Find the love within you first, without that, you are just another critic who this one will ignore. in love, mirabai
Guest guest
well, Jesus said to each of his apostles "Follow Me." It doesnt get more "guru" than that. What do you think members? Instructions from guru range from public info to private to the student alone. Also the guru can only take us as far as he has gone him/herself. The rest is still on us. Mirabai, i dont mind being a worm as long as i can be close to my God and guru's memory.

i remain my guru's faithless dog,
om tat sat

>:*)
