Petitioning is a good thing but then in the free

world, it hardly matters what one thinks about

India.
I have always found CNN having the aptitide the

the size as that of an insect and they love sleeping

with diseased bed fellows. Said and done its their

opinion. They have a right to it and they will ahve to

take up the cponsequence of having such opinions.
I have stopped reading CNN long ago. This is since

three years now. I prefer Washington Post

http://www.washingtonpost.com/ any day followed by New York

Times.

Our

own hindustantimes.com, timesofindia.com and

rediff.com are really good in news coverage. If we as

indians stop visiting websites like CNN, apparently

either they narrow their point of view in which case

they will not be objective even as a claim or they

will have to revise their opinion. Consumerism is a

really good thing to beat corporations with. Even

otherwise, I would spend quality time with websites that are

more quality oriented like the ones I recommended

earlier in this post.

Question could be what has

the original post and my reply to do with Saadhana.

It has something to do with saadhana and very much

so...please think and u will see what I mean.

My two

pence.

- Seshadri.

Hi Sesh

Good to hear from you and

specially happy that there is a topic here that was of

interest to you!

>>It has something to do

with saadhana and very much so...please think and u

will see what I mean.
>>

While I'm not

sure what YOU think this has to do with our club, I

did think about it for myself. I see an interesting

connection. It has to do with supporting, encouraging,

cheering actions that one considers less than Right

Action.

Sangha. We reflect ourselves in the

company we keep and issues we support. We can all stop

supporting CNN and express the fact that their actions are

not acceptable to us. There will be many who think we

are wrong, and that they are the ones who are giving

the true picture. We may wonder how so many

intelligent people, knowing and seeing what they know and

see, support such actions. We will say, birds of a

feather flock together. They will instead look down on us

and call us names. Such is the game of life, I'm

told. All has a purpose, a part of a circular causal

relationship in the universe.

By the way, I don't

watch CNN either. Instead aside from those you

mentioned, I also read International Herald Tribune,

http://www.iht.com/frontpage.html
Time Asia, http://www.time.com/time/asia/
The

Economist - http://www.economist.com/
BBC -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/.

Does

that help my sadhna? Who knows! At least I feel I

have taken responsibility for my

actions.

_/\_

Uma

Hi Uma,
<<
Good to hear from you and

specially happy that there is a topic here that was of

interest to you!
>>
Definitely not a topic of

interest to me in any sense. It caught my attention

because of politics guiding emotion. A topic of passing

curiosity and I really had some time at that very

moment.

Apparently, I understand u are saying the same thing that I

had been saying in my previous post. Action or

inaction if guided twords lord has meaning otherwise if

they serve the ego, has little meaning. I am sure we

agree with it.

My actions of telling the CNN its

wrong is to look away from it twords more responsible

websites including those that give me home news. These in

mass practice will turn into statistics and help

decision making at management levels. This will also save

me time so I can use it qualitively. Your way is to

tap their shoulder and tell them, hey its wrong.

So its the same message.

Have a good day

ahead.

Regards,
Seshadri.
