Guest guest
Sometimes when one begins spiritual practice, one is likely to face obstacles. Such obstacles often lead to a disruption of one’s practice. These obstacles may be in any form, for example, health problems, problems at work, opposition from family, etc. However, one should persevere with spiritual practice and not get dissuaded, as one can look at it just as one of God’s many wonderful ways of preparing one mentally and testing one’s faith in Him. He alone can give us the strength to endure any obstacles that may be encountered. The ability to respond to obstacles appropriately increases as one’s spiritual level increases and therefore, is in a way an indicator of spiritual progress.
(Note: While this being said, one should note that obstacles could be due to incorrect spiritual practice, negative energies, Destiny, etc. Normally, an average person, who is not a seeker, undergoes his Destiny during his lifetime, that is, in a span of about 60-70 years. In case of a seeker, majority of the Destiny is undergone within the first 5-10 years after beginning spiritual practice. By virtue of the spiritual practice one has the requisite strength to tolerate Destiny. Hence, sometimes it appears that many seekers were apparently happy before commencing spiritual practice. But, once their Destiny is undergone, they make rapid spiritual progress, thereby experiencing everlasting Bliss.)

Sanatan Weekly On Line #
