Guest guest
NAMASTE! Thanks for the welcome post and the comments everyone! I am very happy to be here. I have been studying a little a path called gnosticism because it has many similarities to the Indian Philosophy and even uses some raja yoga techiques, however recently I was taught there a new way of interpreting the process to liberation and I would really like to hear your opinions on this subject. They use the term of alchemy (the philosophers stone?) to describe the activating of kundalini which transforms the energies of the body (into gold colour?) to enter sushumna nadi and ascend to the crone chakra. I dont really have knowledge on tantra but it sounds to me that what they are trying to teach is a tantric concept. We usually say that all paths lead to the same goal, be that raja yoga, bhakti, karma or gyana and I cant really accept the fact that these people exclude any other path to tranforming the energies and activating kundalini but through sex. We use the symbol of snake for the kundalini and it is also the symbol of sex in the western psychology. It might be that there is a link between the two, but an identification? ... I posted a message in their forum asking clarifications and I will paste it here. I used an old posting of silentsoulji in it related to astral travel as this group practices astral travel too and it would be a good way to aproach them. I sincerely hope that there is someone in this club who has studied this philosophy could provide with some information on what happens when enlightment takes place in the path of raja yoga and what all is correct in the ideas expressed in the posting. "I recently read the lecture on alchemy which was very interesting. Actually all lectures are spiritual gems and I am very grateful to be able to access this knowledge. However it left me with some doubts, perhaps to be cleared later in my life or even now. What surprised me was the statement that a celibate person cannot practice alchemy. I was under the impression that the sexual energies dont necessarily have to do with sex. By studying some of the occult anatomy and the indian tantra, I was under the impression that the feminine and masculine aspect of the divine are in every person. Kundalini or shakti ( the female aspect of this energy, shakti as mother Durga perhaps the equivalent of the gnostic divine mother?) has to unite with Shiva( the male aspect, the holy ghost) and thus achieve salvation in the crone chakra as it ascends through sushumna nadi. There would take place the "cosmic orgasm" or enlightment or the creation of the solar body. I thought that physical sex is only a form of reflection of this esoteric process, which only leads people away from the path. I dont have anything against AUTHENTIC tantric practices, after all sex has very strong power and i can imagine these practices being very effective, but is it really necessary to practice them for alchemy? How can one be sure that they will not lead one to giving in to lust? Isnt it possible to control and transform the sexual energies through forms of meditation and pranic control, either through the air (breathing) or through consciously drawing the energy from the sun or earth? After all the kundalini is activated even through detachment of the astral body from the physical but it just doesnt ascend upwards. Kundalini starts vibrating and emitting vermon colored energies which enter the sushumna nadi. These energies turn to pure white after entering sushumna. The passage of this pure energy towards the crown chakra, causes the vibrations felt by most of the projecting people. In some cases it causes the feeling of inertia or paralyses in the body. when this white energy reaches the back of the head, bond of Prana is broken & it separates physical body from the rest of the bodies. The mind vibrates at a higher and more subtle frequency and becomes more powerful at this stage. I have to confess that I dont really know about alchemy and perhaps I shouldnt be talking about it. It just created some doubts in me although I am always open for exploring and experiencing myself other points of view. After all this is what the spiritual quest is all about. I would be grateful if you would kindly clear this doubt to me." - , "tatwamasi" <tatwamasi> wrote: > > I have always hesitated to post anything in this club because all > > postings are so well written from so learned people.whenever I > > attempted to post anything, I worked on it as if it were for my > > school examinations > > Hi Angelina! > > Welcome and thank you for joining in the discusion.
