Avoiding annoying ads!

Some suggestions:

 

1. On the message page of the group, look for <expand messages>.

Click that. Notice the url of the page. It should be:

 

/messages/3379?expand=1

 

Now replace < /3379?expand=1 > with < ?viscount=30&expand=1 > in

above url.

 

This makes the url -

 

/messages?viscount=30&expand=1

 

Refresh page. This gives you a list of complete posts without the

ads. You can experiment with viscount=30, 50 or 100.

 

Let me know if it makes a difference!

 

2. When replying to a post, I suggest we delete the original post

which is automaticaly included as inline text, since it makes the

posts unnecessarily long. Since the Group format was originaly

designed for a primarily email listserve, the formatting is like you

would get if you were replying to an email. I suggest you include

only sections you are specifically replying to. The original post can

be accessed by clicking <Up Thread> on each page with a post.

 

Please give me feedback about these and any other ways we can improve

our club .. oops .. Group experience and make it more of a "home"

than it appears to be now.
