I truely appreciate everyone sharing, even when I do not post. It's great that we have a group that feels free to share thoughts, even when they differ from one another. My sincere thanks to all of you. Personally, I've been wondering a lot lately about how one goes about "choosing" a deity. Do we feel pulled in one direction or another for a reason? Does it happen that, after a while, we feel pulled in another direction? I realize all are one in the same, but why would it happen that we lean towards one deity or another? Is it the God/Goddess pulling us there, or do we lean that way because we need a quality that He/She has? If that is the case, why is it we sometimes lean more towards Devi rather than Deva, or vice-versa? Is it something we need, or is it more of a comfort level for us? Or do we even choose at all? When we do feel pulled in one direction or another, do you think that says something about our current level of consciousness, or is it just that we need a certain presence in our mundane life right then? I've heard from a few shaktas that they feel Devi has called for them. I was wondering if this is the case for others.
