Guest guest
Thanks sankkrukku jee, You have brought up a very important aspect of Sadhna. But what you said about Mantra and their effect on general life, is in fact true for any sadhna...however with Mantra Sadhna the effects are quick and powerful. I have seen, with my own experiences and with the experiences of those around that When ever one starts serious sadhna he is faced with problems in life.... so much so sometimes it looks like a great storm which seems to have weakened the very basis of our sadhana and we are forced to think "AM I on the right path??" or "Does God exist?" or "Does God listen to me?" etc. Though theoretically we can present 100 explanations like cleansing of chakra, or bringing up of old bad Karma for destruction etc. to explain the reasons behind the state of depression coming from this cleansing...yet on practical levels it is very very difficult to cope up with the pressure specially for them who have no guru or whose guru is not with them physically. When we start our meditation, we always develop a sort of relationship with God (though it may be one-sided love)....we start thinking ourselves special in the eyes of God who will rush to our rescue in the hour of need....and when we do not see thus, our very basis of Shradhaa in God is in doldrums. We tend to forget that we are expecting God to do something as per our logics and our beliefs (and not as HIS logics and truths). Like each one of us have our personal emotions, we have our personal logics too and being logical is as much a weakness as being emotional. We tend to forget God does not run the universe as per our logics and He is not fighting our war of ego in this world. He is not present to fight for us or take our revenges. In Mahabharata Krishan chose not to use any arm, but chose to drive the chariot of Arjuna....which symbolically tells us that God only guides us but do not fight for us. This illogical duty of God to fight for us, which we foolishly impose on him, is the root cause of our frustration when we do not get desired results from Sadhna. Now leaving aside, the theoretical reasons, what should one do when one is stuck up in such a turmoil ? We may understand after the storm is over, the very purpose behind it...but what to do when the storm is blowing. The most common reaction is either blaming god or others for our plight or leave sadhna altogether...but it is certainly not the right thing. Then how to cope up with the pressure ? What your experience says in this regard ?? Hari Aum PS: Crazy ? Most of us think, that a Sadhaka ought to be a perfect man in society...but in fact he is the most unsuited person for the day to day work....perhaps he is the only sane one among the crowd of crazies..but is being called a crazy himself. nahin? Guest guest
>>what to do when the storm is blowing.<< >>how to cope up with the pressure ? << When a plant is in its infancy, it needs to be protected against the storm. But when it grows as huge as a banyan tree, it doesn't need support any more. It in fact can offer refuge to ppl who seek it's shelter from the storm. Similarly, when our sadhna or Bhakthi or Jnana is at its infancy, and we are enveloped in a horrendous storm, we need to build a fence of faith and trust in God around the tender plant of sadhna / bhakthi/ jnana. Let us nurture it with the waters of wisdom. Knowing that the One is all Merciful, let us be patient for as long as the storm ensues. Once the storm is over we'll know it's purpose. So let's concentrate on letting the plant grow into a banyan. Once it does, no amount of storm can shake or uproot it. There are many more things one can do, during a storm. If one finds it difficult to follow the methods one is exposed to, then the easiest solution is Nama Japa ( chanting of the Lord's Holy name). Hold on to the Divine Name, and don't lose hope. Please note : In kali yuga, (the present age), Nama japa is the easiest, but that does NOT mean that doing it is easy. One needs determination even for doing Nama Japa. Let's all cultivate the determination, sense of discrimination, dispassion and faith, and achieve our goal at the earliest. Hari Aum !!!
