Guest guest
An interesting subject for discussion is the relation between the hinduistic mythology and the yogic philosophy. In other words its the personal and the impersonal interpretation of God, human and the world. It is the conflict or the harmony between religion and philosophy which unfortunately often ends up to be the conflict between belief of knowledge and true knowledge itself. What led me to these thought were the previous postings on kundalini and prana. Kundalini is an impersonal term, yet depicted as shakti in a personal way. In the same way prana is hanuman, and the hanuman mantras ,which are wonderful, are directly related to prana. In the hindu mythology as well as in other mythologies (like the ancient greek one) we find many gods, each one of them representing a quality. But a god can have many different names and manifestations as a result of the different aspects of a certain quality (like in the case of Shakti known as Durga, Kali etc). Now would it be too naive to wonder whether these gods really exist in the astral having a function in the universe or are they only thought forms or mantras, as a result just qualities?
