Guest guest
**** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** ********************************************************************* Prana and its types So as we have seen Prana is the eternal Energy…source of all energies be it electricity, magnetism, gravitation, atomic power, fire or any such energy. Prana is not the air we breathe in. Breathing is a manifestation of Prana entering the body. The Highest manifestation of Prana is THOUGHT which is also an energy. It is the most subtle and the most powerful of all other physical energies. Prana can be divided into three categories. Universal Prana, a subtle form of energy distributed evenly in the Universe. Second is Gross Prana- Universal Prana , when taken into body through respiration, food, thoughts, sadhna, sun-rays etc. they take form of Gross Prana which is used in different body process. Gross Prana are further divided into 5 main prana in the body viz. Prana, Apaana, Samaan, Vyaana and Udaan. They are further divided into 5 sub pranas viz. Naag, Kurma, Krikar, Devadatta and Dhanjaya. Their respective work in the body is as follows :- Prana: This prana controls the respiration, movement of tongue and mouth and helps in production of urine and sweat. It' regime is from Heart to Nose and it controls all movements in this area. Apaana : this prana helps in excretion, ejaculation, taking the baby out of womb etc. Its regime is from Naval to feet and it control all movements in this area. Samaana: Samaana distributes the digested food throughout the body and its regime is from Naval to heart. Vyaana : All the movements in gross and subtle Nadis are controlled by this prana. It also helps in circulation of blood. It's regime is in all the Nadis in the body. Udaana: this prana helps in keeping the body erect. It also connects prana of the body to Universal prana. Udaana is responsible for Astral projection and also it takes the Jivatama (individual soul) to different planes after death...and takes the soul to its new body. Udaan is very imporatant prana as it is our real friend in dreams and after death. Udaana stays in Throat. If one concentrates over Throat chakra, Udaana comes under control and the siddhi of OBE can be achieved. Sub -pranas: Naag: It controls sneezing etc. in the body Kurma: it controls all the contractions in the body Krikar: it controls hunger and thirst of the body Devdatta controls sleep Dhanjaya: controls the nutrition (to continue....)
