A Tribute to Ramana Maharshi

Could not have I been,

at least that blade of grass,

Upon which Thee gently walked.

Oh what I sinner I must be,

For I am born again !

But like the impartial rain,

that knows no distinction,

And showers on gentle flowers,

And the cruel stones alike,

Thy Infinite Grace,

Have Thee showered,

Upon this callous heart,

For I cognise this evanescence,

O Dispeller of darkness !

Thy immaculate Lotus Feet,

In my heart, I've enshrined,

Let the emanating purity,

Break free these binding fetters,

And Grant unto me Thy state !
