Here are a few more:

(Also from WOMEN OF POWER AND GRACE):

"All selves are the manifestations of the Self as the self." (p. 208)

"Everything that exists changes. From the changeless arose what

changes." (p. 209)

"The changing..is the Mind; the unchanging is God." (p. 209)

{Q, _What is the difference between man and God?_]

Man wants some things; God wants everything." (p. 2l0)

"The mentality which understands "HE is All" is itself Divinity; to

think, "There is something which is mine," is humanity." (p. 2ll)

"Your _bhava_ (attitude) is that the thoughts which occur to you are

different from those which occur to God. I say that all kinds of

thoughts are God's alone...One fellow came here lamenting that he had

discovered some bad qualities in himself, and asked, "can even these

be Divine?" On that occdasion I told him that he would not have them

unless HE too had them." (p. 212)

"Everyone has the vices [wrath, greed, pride, etc.] That is man's

_svabhava_ (inherent nature). There is no one without them. HE has

HIMself given them. I do not think that they result from past lives

of from the environment. That same _Sakti_ which caused his coming

[birth and growth] also causes his actions. Those raised in

extraordinary surroundings may live ordinary lives; there are some

living extraordinary lives who were raised in ordinary surroundings,

I cannot judge. I say that _everything_ is the effect of _Sakti_

alone...[Q. Do you want us to sit quietly without doing anything,

surrendering everything to the Supreme Will?_] Even surrender is not

in your hands. [Q. _Then what should we do?_] Do whatever you are

impelled to do, for isn't it HE that impels you? You are not

responsible for what you consider to be "your" actions; HE alone is

responsible who bestowed such a disposition (_guna_) on you and

impels you to act. Even if someone does what you call "evil," I feel

that the "fault" is not his, but rather his Maker's." (p. 2l2-2l3)

By the way, SVCS, I will soon be sitting at the Lotus Feet of my

beloved Amma Karunamayi...She will be in my area in a few weeks. I

also had darshan with Mata Amritanandamayi Ma (Ammachi) a few weeks

ago. In the book WOMEN OF POWER AND GRACE, there is a chapter on

Ammachi, also, in addition to other such great beings as Mother

Frances Cabrini, Therese Neumann, Pelagia, the Holy Fool, Mother

Maria Skobtsova, Hazrat Babjan, Anandamayi Ma, and Syama Mataji.

Blessings,

Kathy
