89. Since the ego itself is everything (as revealed by Sri Bhagavan

in verse 26 of Reality in Forth Verses), giving up the ego, the

feeling "I am this body," by surrendering it to God, is lovingly

surrendering everything to Him. Having once surrendered the ego to

God, abiding in Self without taking it back again (that is, without

again identifying the body as "I" or "mine") is true tapas (austere

Self-abidance).

90. Having surrendered the ego to God, if one takes it back again,

that is the sin of stealing back what has once been given. Therefore,

in order to avoid committing such a sin, practice Self-attention

unfailingly, because only if one attends to the ego vigilantly and

unceasingly will it drown in the heart so as never to rise again. (

Garland of Guru's Sayings verse 317)

- Sri Sadhu Om ( A disciple of Ramana Maharshi)

Jaya Sri Radhey! Namaste.

This beautiful poetic expression is always a source of joy to the

devotees of the Lord.

Jai Mirabai - The madness of Bhakti, - peggyhand

So deep is this attachment that Meera has become completely absorbed

in it

Singing the praises of Hari down every street

She was born and groomed in Palaces, but now she has become a devotee

of krishna

People speak as if Meera has gone mad.

Nobody could stop her; nobody could interrupt her

Meera is singing of Govinda Gopala

Sitting in the company of Saints and Sages,

Meera became dyed in the color of Mohan

Meera, the Lover, has merged into the Beloved

The King, her husband, gave her poison

Which she drank as nectar

Meera is like the river that has merged into the ocean

Meera bore the pain of hundreds of thousands of sufferings, but could

only speak the Name of Govinda

Meera is singing of Govinda Gopal
