Guest guest
Satsanga- Bathing in Foot Dust of Saint Jaya Sri Radhey! Namaste. "rahu gaNai tat tapasA na yAti na cejyayA nirvapaNAd gRhAd vA na cchaMdasA naiva jalAgni sUryair vinA mahatpAda rajobhiSekaM" Jada Bharata has declared to King Rahugana, "O Rahugana, one does NOT attain this (state of Divine consciousness of Self-realization) through asceticism nor through Vedic rituals, nor again by dealing out food and other necessaries among the needy, nor by duly performing one's religious duties pertainig to household life, nor through a proper study of Vedic scriptures, nor through the worship of gods presiding over water, fire and sun, NOR by ANY OTHER MEANS, EXCEPT by sprinkling one's body, mind and soul with the DUST of feet of exalted Godrealzed saints." The great devotee Prahlad has also decared same: "na te viduH svArthagatiM hi viSNuM durAzayA ye bahirartha mAninaH andhA yathAndhairupanIyamAnA vAcIzatantyAm urudAmni baddhAH" (Srimad Bhagavatam 7.5.31) "Indeed they whose mind is impure as attached to the pleasures of sense and who, like the BLIND led by another BLIND man, esteem only those regarding the external worldly objects as their only aim in life are unable to REALIZE Lord Vishnu, the goal of those who RECOGNIZE Him as the Supreme Soul. On the other hand, through actions done from interested motives they remain bound like so many oxen to the ROPE of the Lord, in the shape of His Word, the Veda, with numerous individual strings in the shape of different denominations such as Brahman, Nirvana, Heaven and so on." naiSAM matis tavAd urukramAGghriM spRzatyanarthApagamo yadarthaH mahIyasAM pAda rajobhiSekaM niSkiJcanAnAM na vRNIta yAvat (Srimad Bhagavatam 7.5.31) "The MIND of these people fails to approach the feet of Lord Vishnu possessed of infinite strength, - the object of approaching which is to get rid of evil in the form of transmigration, - so long as it DOES NOT SEEK A BATH in the DUST of feet of exalted souls who CLAIM NOTHING as their OWN. Guest guest
Jaya Sri Radhey! Namaste all. The Lord is also after the 'foot dust' of His Lover, the Rasik Saint. Lord Krishna declared to the Jnaani Saint Uddhava: "nirapekSaM muniM zAntaM nirvairaM samadarzanam anuvrajAmyahaM nityaM pUyeyety aGghri reNubhiH" "niSkiMcanA mayyanurakta cetasAH zAntA mahAnto 'khilajIva vatsalAH, kAmairanA labdhadhiyo juSanti yat tannair apekSyaM na viduH sukhaM mama" (Bhagavatam 11. 14. 16, 17) With a view to PURIFYIG My Self by the dust of his feet, I always FOLLOW the Premi Saint who cares for NOTHING else, is calm, bears enmity to NONE and is even-minded. High-souled Rasik Saints- penniless, passionately DEVOTED to Me, and UNSMITTEN by worldly desires, calm and COMPASSIONATE to ALL creatures - derive that Bliss of Mine Which THEY ONLY know who cares for NO gain, and NOT others. Guest guest
Jaya Sri Radhey! Namaste. In the following poem, Saint Mirabai rejoices in Satsanga, the sacred association of Holymen: "aaj mhaamro sadhu janana sangare..." Good fortune my Prince, today I went among Sadhus! Coming and going I tasted their splendor many times. But Goddess cults - shun them - They wreck your devotion! Forget the fashionable visits of pilgrims. Benares and Ganges are found At a HOLY MAN'S FEET. Don't mock seekers, you'll be dipped in a hell pool, go crippled, go blind. Yes, Mira's Lord can lift mountains, today she covered her body with DUST from a HOLY MAN'S FEET. - "For Love Of The Dark One, Songs of Mirabai", by Andrew Schelling. Jaya Sri Radhey!
