Food for Thought

"Man's essential nature is Bliss Absolute and total Freedom like the sky.

Therefore he longs for it at all times but out of ignorance he feels lacking,

and thus he tries to achieve freedom through fulfillment by acquiring things and

beings around him. In the process he gets bound and entangled instead, like a

cocoon, never be able to get out of it birth after birth, until at last he comes

to realize the worthlessness of his acquisitions. Eventually after many many

births, by the Grace of the Lord Almighty, he starts questioning the purpose of

his human existence."

Greetings from Sri Radha Kutir, please visit our websites on Vedanta:

http://personal.vsnl.com/vedanta or http://www.geocities.com/radhakutir

Vedanta is not a religion or a dogma, it is the total philosophy of

life, the life that is pulsating alike through humans, animals, plant kingdom

and the rest of it. This life principle is variously known as the Self, God,

Truth, Consciousness etc. and is of the nature of Bliss Absolute. It is none

other than I the Self and is my own essential nature. Discover this Truth

through Vedanta, Who am I?, and free yourself from the shackles of repeated

births and deaths.
