THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF A NEW DAY.

God has given me this day to use as I will.

I can waste it or use it for good.

What I do today is very important because I am

exchanging a day of my life for it.

When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever,

leaving something in its place I have traded for it.

I want it to be a gain not a loss, good not evil, success not failure

in order that I shall not forget the price I paid for it.

God's Grace -- Sarmad

People are fond of hearing His story,

But are not keen to meet Him.

But I tell them, the most wise is he

Whose heart is maddened with His love.

The seeker of the Beloved finds Him

Through quiet stillness, not in frantic activity.

That search is the purpose of life,

Neglect not the quest for the Beloved.

Thou are free of both the worlds

When thou art captured in the trap of love.

The essence of Reality is one. The mirror which reflects

This Oneness is given by God Himself.

Hundreds of my friends became enemies,

When I abandoned all to seek the One:

But the friendship of the One satisfied my heart,

As no worldly friends ever did.

With Oneness in the Master I turned the whole crowd away,

And He became I, and I became He.

The understanding of God's Grace has at last come to me.

I was like a scale that tried to weigh good deeds against bad.

Then I discovered the Master's Eyes that shower Grace.

Only this and nothing else have I discovered in life.
