Guest guest
Jigyasa's inspiring and wonderfull story invokes two impulses in me, I hope one would be answered by any one ( may be by Jigyasa ), while the other may be "realised". Here they are:- 1. kindly point out the source of the story. I am currently working of some folk tales like Esop's but not by him; simply tribal ones 2. I am giving another story in the line -- Once on a hot summer day in India, one young gentleman dressed in neat and tidy clothes was coming from the opposite side of the road on which a saint, with scanty clothings and ashes all over his body was going. Both of them looked at each other. Their eyes fixed on each other. Both were attaired in just the opposite fashion and each of them was thinking "folly" of the other. Lo! As they both neared, the young man just hit something on the ground and fell; all his clean dress soiled. Instantly he got up and began to brush off the dirth. The saint reached him by then and helped him and also asked whether he got any injury. The youth thanked the saint. The saint made a saecastic remark AND WAS PROPERLY ANSWERED( and that is told in Hindi- a vernaculer, as follows) Saint: PIDA HUA TU KHAK SE TO KHAK SE PARHEZ KYO ? (WHEN YOU ARE BORN OUT OF EARTH, THEN WHY HATE THE DUST?) yOUTH: JAB TALAK IS KHAK MEIN US NOOR KA PARVEZ HAI, TAB TALAK IS KHAK KO IS KHAK KO PARHEZ HAI! (UNTILL THIS,MY BODY,DUST CONTAINS THE LIGHT OF THAT, GOD, TILL THEN THIS DUST, BODY,IS QUITE DIFFERENT FROM THIS,EARTH'S DUST) Love, Satish
