Guest guest
THE VIRAJA RIVER The Viraja River is in Brahmaloka, the highest heaven, where the Creator Brahma lives. The river flows across the road to Brahma's Palace. Visitors must be free of Rajoguna and be filled with Sattva to cross it. The Kaushitaki Upanishad says: Sa Agacchati Virajam Nadim Tam Manasai 'vatyeti Tat-Sukrita-Dushkrite Dhunute Tasya Priya Jnatayah Sukritam- Upayanty' Apriya Dushkritam... Having reached the Viraja River, he crosses over it by mere thought and shakes off his good and bad acts. His dear ones obtain his good deeds, the undear ones his bad deeds.. Satchitananda Kathy (SANSKRIT NAMES. Integral Yoga Institute. p. 212) Mundaka Upanishad: Surya-Dwarena Te Virajah Prayanti Yatramritah Sa Purusho Hy' Avyayatma. Being taintless (Viraja), they go by the path of the sun to where lives that immortal Being of undecaying nature.
