Salutations to Thakur, Guru, and Ma!

Gupta---"About the harmony of jnana and bhakti, Sri Ramakrishna said :

'Perfect jnana and perfect bhakti are one and the same thing.

A man reasons, saying, 'Not this, not this'. He rejects the unreal.

When his reasoning comes to an end, he attains the knowledge, Brahmajnana.

Then he accepts what he has rejected before--now a Vijnani.

To be sure, I-consciousness does not disappear easily. As long as the pot of

'I',

that is, body-consciousness, persists one cannot realize 'I am He'.

In samadhi I-consciousness disappears.

Then what is remains."

Sri Ramakrishna--"As long as I-consciousness exists one should live in the

attitude of a bhakta; one should not say 'I am God'. But if God draws the

devotee to himself it is a different matter."
