Guest guest
Salutations to Thakur, Guru, and Ma! M. (to the devotees)---"When you worship the highest ideal, there is no distinction between the guru and the disciple. It is indeed a very difficult situation when there is no difference between the guru and the disciple--when all distinctions vanish. It is the same as that of the salt doll going to fathom the sea. The poet Goethe said, 'It is such a blazing light that one can't gaze at it for a long time. The head bows, all sensory functions disappear.' It happens on adoring the highest ideal--on attaining samadhi. On the other hand, by remaining a little lower, by worshipping God-with-form-and qualities, it is somewhat different. Then the eyes do not burn--then it is only like the light of the sun and moon." The Elder Jiten--"If that is so, why did Thakur meet some people in this way? He He would place his hand on somebody's forehead or on the lips of some others, or on the chest of some, and he would even write on the tongue of some. Why did he do all this?" M.--"Did he do all this by taking them as human beings? He said, 'The day I take you as human beings I shall not see your faces'. And he said, 'I see it is God Himself moving about in all these forms." Satchitananda Kathy (M.-THE APOSTLE AND EVANGELIST.
