Guest guest
Salutations to Thakur, Guru, and Ma! It is the 20th of November, 1929, the 4th day of Agrahayan, 1336 Bengali Year. Antevasi and the Elder Jiten have come to see M. who is not keeping well. M.-- 'I see that I am forgetting name and form. I can't remember the name of an individual. But all the incidents of childhood are coming to the mind--going out with my mother, going to school, so on and so forth. Once I went with my mother to my maternal uncle's house in Rishra. From there I had the darshan of Jagannath in Maheswar. Then we came to the Kali Temple in Dakshineswar. I was about four years old. I was standing naked in front of the Thakur Temple and crying. Mother and others had gone to see the other temples. I heard people saying : 'This is the Kali Temple of Rani Rasmani'. An individual came and comforted me. Maybe it was Thakur, who knows? Thakur was employed then in the Kali Temple in 1858. He was practicing hard tapasya. Twenty-four years after it I met him. When I had the darshan of Thakur I realized what need is there for so many Maths and temples. On seeing him, I completely forgot my past life. It is all coming back to memory now. His towering personality was like a sacred halo.. He made me forget all. During my five years with him I had no thought but of him." Satchitananda Kathy (M.-THE APOSTLE AND EVANGELIST.
