Guest guest
KRISHNA CONSCIOUSNESS THROUGH BHAKTI YOGA In the first six chapters of Bhagavad Gita , the living entity has been described as nonmaterial spirit-soul capable of elevating himself to self-realization by different types of yogas. The end of the Sixth Chapter states that steady concentration of the mind on Krishna enables One to know the Absolute Truth. Different types of yoga are only steppingstones on the Path. One should begin yoga as directed in the last verse of the Sixth Chapter: yoginam api sarvesam mad-gatenantar-atmana sraddhavan bhajate yo mam sa me yuktatamo matah And of all the yogis, the one with great faith who always abides in Me, thinks of Me within himself, and renders transcendental loving service to Me- he is the most intimately united with Me in yoga and the highest of all. That is My opinion. The real purpose of yoga practice is to achieve the highest perfection of Krishna consciousness. Satchitananda Kathy (BHAGAVAD-GITA As It Is. The bhaktivedanta Book Trust.)
