Reposting about my inquiry re: amrita

Dear Friends,

 

Okay, I will try reposting what I posted earlier in the week (and

didn't get put in for some reason). Also, Uma, if you sent me a

private email, I may never have gotten it, as I usually do not ignore

emails sent to me.

 

But basically I was asking for feedback/insight on "amrita". I had

had earlier this week a dream in which my beloved Sri Karunamayi was

in and at one point there was this showering down of substance--sort

of like glitter or sparkly and it was VERY FRAGRANT..and I remember

so distinctly the smelling of this beautiful fragrance and being

showered in this substance, or this substance that came showering

down upon me in the dream. When I awoke the word 'amrita' came to

mind/consciousness.

 

I have not been in a very good state lately (emotionally, mentally)

for quite some time now for a number of reasons and difficulties and

problems/difficulties in my life. Perhaps at some level of my being

I had darshan with Sri Karunamayi.

 

Any one offering comments..? Would be appreciated..

Glad your post came through this time.

 

Sorry to hear that you have been going through difficult times. It

appears to be a time in the world where so many people are in that

kind of state. As one rides through these trials, one can take the

opportunity to understand and clear what one is needing to heal, and

thus clear them from one's karmic baggage.

 

It is not unusual to have visions of one's personal Guru or Diety or

other symbols, specially if one is totally devoted to them. The mind

receives input from the Universe through symbols that one identifies

with and values.

 

Gurus often give confidence to their devotees through such

experiences. I have heard of similar, though not identical (each is

unique) experiences from various sadhaks which helped them build

confidence in the path they were taking.

 

The important thing to me is how did you feel when you got that

blessing or darshan?
