Guest guest
Saundarya-Lahari Sri Sankaracharya Om. Salutations to the Supreme Self. Mahim muladhare kam api manipure hettavaham sthitam svadhisthane hrdi marutam akasam upari ; mano'pi bhru-madhye sakalam api bhittva kula-patham sahasrare padme saha rahasi patya viharase. 9. Having penetrated the Prithvi (Earth) element situated in the Muladhara, the Jala (Water) element in the Manipura, the Agni (Fire) element in the Svadhishana, the Vayu (Air) element in the Heart or Anahata, the Akasa (Sky element above the former in the Visuddhi and Manas (Mind) in the Ajna between the eye-brows, Thou, ascending through the Susumna or the Kula Path, sportest with Thy consort in the solitude of Sahasrara, the Thousand-Petalled Lotus. The Sahasrara is above the head. The chakras are not in the usual order here, but Sri Sankara keeps the Elements in their evolutionary order. The above describes the Tripurasundari adoration, the Samaya meditation. This mantra enables the Kundalini, the Sakti Power of the Jiva to rise to the Sahasrara. The Jiva, being part of Siva, His Sakti is part of Tri-pura-sundari. Shakti , or Kundalini, rests at the base of the spine in the Muladhara; Siva, as the Jiva, rests in the thousand-Petalled Lotus, the Sahasrara. Liberation of the soul happens when Shakti rises up and unites with Siva. MEDITATION : The Samaya or internal worship of Shakti consists of awakening Her through meditation and uniting Her with Her Siva. GURU ; OM. Blessed am I; I have attained the consumation of my life, and am free from the clutches of transmigration ; I am the Essence of Eternal Bliss, I am Infinite all through Thy mercy !
