Guest guest
Dear Members, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome new members and thank existing members who have helped achieve the club meet some of its stated mission. This club was started several years ago with a simple mission - Spiritual Practice - , on ANY chosen path - sharing of experience, information, challenges thereof, presented with respect towards all. Out focus is Action - taking texts and scriptures beyond simple gathering of information into being, walking, living the path of spiritual truths that we speak of. Our goal has been about sincere sharing by, and queries and answers for practitioners at any level of practice. We believe all paths lead to the same ultimate goal and present a forum which respects that. We have continued to request practitioners of different schools present their views, for no one knows who may get inspired by which path. Our goal is NOT about our group being a platform for the promotion of specific Guru, Diety, Path or even Individuals. We offer our respects and pronams to all! Neither is the goal to being the best or largest club, or the most techie of all. The only moderation we have continued to do is about efficient and effective usage of our space, and keeping our space cleansed of negativity energies. All, except those who have repeatedly (for 3 yrs)* indulged in, and/or supported abusive behavior are welcomed in our satsangh. To that extent when I receive mail and off-board messages about how the dialogue has helped or inspired someone we feel we have been meeting our goal. And I send light and prayers to the few hateful messages I continue to recieve. However, as we move on, we find we have more work to do. There are several areas of our group that can be improved and made more useful. We have a huge range of members, from those who are beginners to those who have a wide range of practical experience to scholars who are a storehouse of knowledge. I request members to freely share their thoughts, opinions, questions, ideas on how to improve on the activities of our club. All postive or negative, indifferent comments/ suggestions are sincerely welcomed - we learn from all. (We can continue the dialogue on other topics too.) What can we do to better serve the various needs of the members? What can we do to reach the issues of a wider variety of seekers? What can we do to get more participation from our satsangh members? What kinds of information or discussions would you like to see? How can you help in making your satsangh an even more effective and joyful place to be? What do you feel is lacking and what can we moderators do differently? With our vast membership spanning a wide range of paths, I know we can reach the needs of a wider range of sadhaks if we know what is needed. We know it is possible to bring together postive energy as a community. We would like to continue to see a microcosm of that dream here through the actions of all our members. Thank you for your presence and all your contribution to your satsangh. _/\_ Tat twam asi Uma -------------------------------- *PS (If clarification is needed- Refer Club posts - 1066, 1361,1832 or SEM Club spiritualecstasyandmeditation posts 1060, 1105, 1372, 1846 and its threads.) Guest guest
Pranam to all. First of all I convey my Dushhera Greetings to all!! ,second is let em give u all the good News, I could access again, seems the blockade has been lifted. Now for my reply to Uma's post regarding Improving our satsang: I would like to thank all the founders, moderators, past and present for maintaining the dignity of the club, while walking towards the goals of the club, I agree that we have a huge range of members, we have a group of learned and another group of learning members( like the developing , and developed countries at WTO). Both can share Knowledge here, I have some brief suggestions, which will create interest in the learners: Willing members come out with a regular Posts periodically about a subject, like the festivals, gods, and cultures. Some members take responsibility to post good quotes every week/fortnight. Pictures of Gods be Posted, and learned members explain the significance of each and every detail /object depicted in the picture. I don't agree with you Uma when you say "Neither is the goal to being the best or largest club, or the most techie of all." Its not a sin to aim to be the best and be the largest , we all can do it.lets all work together to make the group more active. "A dream that I dream alone is but only a dream.
