Do we mystify things

My humble Pranams to everyone,

 

Forgive me for diverting from the very interesting discussion

that was going on regarding Desires.

I am a silent member of this group. But I wanted to share this

question that I face, with everyone else.

Do we mystify things related to religion and spiritual topics?

There is a saying in my part of India, the gist of which means

no namaskar (reverence) without chamatkar (miracles).

i.e. a saint is recognized only if he performs feats that cannot be

explained logically. This is just a general statement, there are a

few saints who had following inspite of displaying any powers beyond

human logic.

I feel sometimes this mystification discourages potential aspirants.

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated.
