Guest guest
Dear Pradeep , You have brought up another interesting point up for discussion. You mention about "prejudice" and "hatred" . I do not know if you are familiar with what happened in the wake of september 11 attacks . Many mosques were attacked . Muslims ( american or others) were targeted and even Hindus and Sikhs were not spared . But fortunately, such incidents were only sporadic and because of an efficient Police, these incidents were at a minimum. If you recall, in the wake of the Indira Gandhi Assasination , how violence erupted in India between Sikhs and Hindus . Also, remember the large scale communal violence and RIOTS between Hindus and Muslims in the wake of demolition of "babri" mosque and the "train" burning incident. There was Mayhem , confusion and total chaos all in the name of "religion" . In Mesa , Arizona, a sikh man named Balbir Singh Sodhi, a gas station owner , was killed by an American after the september 11 attacks. Why was a hard-working immigrant attacked at his place of work? The man who killed Sodhi was acting out of rage, fuelled by prejudice and hatred . Sodhi was attacked only because he was wearing a "turban" just like Osama-bin-laden . The american who attacked Sodhi obviously knew nothing about sikh culture -Sodhi wore a Turban and sported a beard as part of his sikh faith. Sodhi was neither Muslim nor from the Middle East yet , he was targeted by an ignorant American only because of his appearance and ethnic background. . Pradeep, "hatred" and "prejudice" are Twin evils that go hand in hand. Sardarji asked about Lord Krishna . Why would God steal? Only a rrue Rasika or bhakta can understand the "tattwa" of Lord Krishna stealing the butter . When lORD Krishna stole the butter , was he merely stealing the "butter." No! He was verily stealing the Gopi's hearts along with the butter . And when Mother Yashoda Chatised Baby Krishna and tied him to a mortar , what happened ? Baby Krishna pulled the mortar so hard in trying to free himself and the two demons (who were in the form of the two trees to which the mortar was tied) were Liberated ... this is one of bhagwan Krishna's leela . The butter stealing incident was just an excuse . Krishna's many wives ? were they really wives ? or the many jivatmas wanting to unite with the paramatma? there are no answers to these questions for a rasika saint just enjoys the leela of the bhagwan. Also, when naughy krishna , a mere lad, steals the gopi's clothes and askes them to approach lord krishna 'naked' , was he teasing or tormenting them? No. Lord Krishna was merely illustrating a great philosophy- you need to approach the feet of the lord with the "innocence" of a child , totally naked and guileless. This is in the Bible also in the Gospel of Thomas. Thank you, Pradeep. Namashkar
