If everything is pre-destined then it means we cant change anything, which is entirely wrong. Our todays Karma can change our destiny. Everything is not in the hands of God, who sends us down with pre-programming and pre-destiny designed. > While I was taking my yoga lessons I asked Guruji that what food > should I take.Guruji said food must be to my choice. > > As a soldier cannot fight and live on sattwik food like fruits and > vegetables. ===> Has your Guruji attained Mokshya ?? In Yoga Particularly Hathh yoga and Rajayoga strict dietery discipline is required, without which serious illnesses of body and mind occur. Any ordinary yoga teacher will confirm this. What is that yoga which you and your guru are discussing ? --- > Food habits cannot contaminate our soul. It is our desires that > contaminate our soul. ==> This statement is against Gita and Krishna !!!! Krishan says nothing can contaminate the Soul, souls cant be burnt or cut or wetted or anything. Whom should we believe You or Krishna ?? -- > So our Sadhana is for assessing our desires and channelling it to > sattwik path. food is not a barrier to the path of Mokshya. ==> Sattwik path can not be attained by taking Rajsic and Tamsic food. Our food has a direct impact over our desires and finally our deeds. Your statement is self-contradictory. -- > As it is predestined that where I have taken birth, what type of job > i will do and for that what type of food will be necessary for me to > take. > > I do agree with you my Guruji also taught me to "Take care of living > the principles Today, Moksha will take care of itself." > with regards. > > nirbanam ===> What is the difference between an animal and a human ? Why Moksha is a right of HUMAN and not animals (not even for devas)?? Your reply will decide whether your statement is right or not. --------------- As for giving example of Paramhansa and many others taking meat etc. or good christians eating meat, we must remember that we are talking of MOKSHA not becoming a great saint or good person. I do agree even while taking meat, or drinking or smoking one can still progress on the path of sadhna, but as Respected Radhakutir and Tatwamasi wrote, a stage wil come when we will be on threshold of Moksha then all Tamsic,Rajsic and even Satwick food will have to be left...ONLY light will be sufficient to sustain the body
