Guest guest
Dear JosephJi, Thanks for you reply. Yes. There is a life in vegetables but their consciousness is negligible as compared to animals. They don't feel pain like animals. Yes I also agree that some class of people can eat meat because they are meant for that like Chandalas eat dog meat and mlecchas eat other meat. There are also greate kshatriya king like Maharaja Parikshit (Son of Abhimanyu) who warned Kali (Sinfull Kaliyuga purusha) for killing cow. You can find it in Srimad bhagvatam.. Then the demon asked where should I go then four places are awarded to him Illicit sex, Meat eating, Gambling, and Intoxication. Also in bhagavad geeta you can find that the basic qualification to become a devotee of Lord Krishna is to refrain from these four things. And we have already discussed that Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva and non-different. It is a kaliyuga.. in previous yuga it could be ok to kill animals for sacrifice but not in kaliyuga. It is not a question of Shaivism or Jainism it is a question of not killing animals unnecessary. If you read bhagavad geeta there is verse. Patram Pushpam phalam toyam.... Means lord says one can offer me a leave, flower, fruit and water by love and I will accept it. Lord krishna doesn't say that you offer me flesh. NO never... So veg food offered to the lord and then taken nullifies the sin of killing plants. Lord krishna declares in bhagavad geeta that if one gives up the above mentioned 4 sinfull activities then he is a saintly person. There is no question of Brahmana, Vaishya etc... Now a days I have seen Brahmin eating flesh and Shudra following regulative princinpals.. Its Kaliyuga... So we should think of kaliyuga and should not adopt things of other yugas. In Jainism they have a concept that the soul size is equal to body size. Which is totally wrong. In Geeta and bhagavatam the soul size is 1/10000 of the tip of the hair. So jainism concept is unacceptable. Christen says Thou shall not kill is one of the ten commandments but they have modified it that One should not kill humans, Animals can be killed because they dont have soul. See how its going on in Kaliyuga.. Very sad. So Bhagavad geeta has got complete knowledge and again I am saying Lord Shiva and Krishna are non-different. They are same supreme. So Both Vaishnava and Shaivaites should accept this fact. Aplologies if any offenses commited.. Ys, Nilesh ===== - Nilesh D. Guest guest
Hello friends - looks like we are once again entangled in a discussion about a peripheral topic in relation to the central theme of this forum which is Rudraksha. Forums about the merits of this or that diet abound, but this forum is the only one I am aware of that is specifically focused on Rudraksha. I am suggesting that we bring the discussion back to that theme and leave the issues of diet behind. I am in the process of exploring Rudraksha remedies for Kuja Dosha (Mars affliction) which is so prevalent in people astrological charts and is the main reason why Indian parents have charts cast for their children. Kuja Dosha occurs when Mars is placed in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th houses of the horoscope. In such cases, marriage and relationship is under disturbed influence. If neither partner has Kuja Dosha or if both have it, then it is OK, but if one has it and the other does not, then it often indicates the probability of major problems. A Rudraksha remedy for Kuja Dosha could be a mala of 3-mukhi beads along with red coral, to balance the Mars energies in the partner who actually has Kuja Dosha, but would only be safe to wear for those with Aries, Cancer, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Pisces ascendents. For others, it would not be advisable to wear any coral at all. So, I am looking at creating an alternative for Taurus, Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Carpicorn and Aquarius ascendents using the 3-mukhi beads along with sphatik and 2-mukhi beads. The logic with sphatik is that as a gem for Venus, the polar opposite of Mars, it would tend to balance that energy when Mars is malefic. The 2-mukhi beads for the Moon would add emotional and relational harmony. I will present this to Ms. Neeta and DharmaDev and see if we can offer a "Kuja Dosha" mala for everyone to bring balance to this difficult area of human experience. love, alan >Nilesh <nilesh_chandode > > >Re: RBSC : Meat Eating >Wed, 1 Oct 2003 09:02:13 -0700 (PDT) > >Dear JosephJi, > >Thanks for you reply. >Yes. Guest guest
, "Alan Scherr" Alan's right. Time to get back on track, in the discussion. I would LOVE to see a special manglik mala made available. I am a manglik. Until I got it under control, it coused me a lot of heartache. According to the Indian mantrimonial boards, a lot of young people are worried about Kuja dosha harming their marriages, or limiting their matrimonial options.
