Guest guest
Is God Cruel? Not at all, God is all merciful, compassionate, our eternal well-wisher and is always with us in life or death, whether we know it or not. He knows the past, the present and the future simultaneously, a 'Kranti Darshi'. He alone knows what is good for us. We can only see our present and we do not know what is in our best interest? The life of pleasures or suffering that we go through is the result of our past actions (Karmas), How we live our present life shall determine the future births. Death can be a blessing in disguise as was in the case of 7 Vasus, whom Ganga drowned immediately after birth, the 8th Vasu was saved from drowning by his compassionate father Shantnu but the scriptures show us how much suffering Bhishma the 8th Vasu had to go through in life, ending on the bed of arrows for a long period of time, on the battlefield of Kurukeshtra, before the final release from his sufferings. God alone knows how best to put the jigsaw puzzle of our lives together taking into account our Karmas, Prarabdha and the rest of it. Therefore let us not lose heart, let us have total trust in God and do the right, live an ethical life and leave the rest to the Will of the Lord. This is the message of the Gita, where Lord Krishna tells Arjuna, "surrender your mind and intellect to Me, remember Me at all times and fight".
