Guest guest
Thanks Angie, The explanation reminds me of a book i read recently. "THE POWER OF NOW" written by Ekhart Tolle. Observing the mind is also one of the techniques explained in that book. I feel that the moment i start observing my mind all tensions go away. But unfortunately i was not continuously following this technique. anyway thanks for the explanation angie. Balaji
Guest guest
You are welcome. Antar mon is a great technique, i ve tried it too sometimes to experiment. In the beginning even my own thoughts would scare me. Later on one learns to accept them and not reject these thoughts, coz thats the only way to get rid off them. We must make our mind our friend. You know, some people are afraid to be by themself. They are afraid of solitude and cant spend much time alone. They want to be all the time with people. Even when they are alone they are trying to find something to occupy the mind, read books, do some work on the pc etc. I think this is a way to escape confronting with our own thougths and emotions. A trick of the ego to prevent us from realizing who we are. There are some people though, who are conscious of their thoughts and desires more or less. These are really successful folks usually. Being conscious and having concentrational abilities must be the key to success. Some schools of thought teach that selfobservation should be done constantly, throughout the day especially when we are doing things which are established habits, such as washing the teeth, washing the dishes, combing hair etc. I dont want to make this complicated, but these habits are governed by the subconscious mind, they are small programms in our brain. Its the same function that stores the names of people in our memory. Some claim that by making the subconscious mind conscious, we come very close to its realization. I m really not sure if its true. On the other hand allowing the subconsciousness to take over tasks, saves us psychic energy. I d like to hear your opinions on this.
