Guest guest
Many of my friends always complain, they do not get positive reply to their prayers. Prayer is an inseparable part of any Sadhna. Watever the Vedantis say that we are Brahms ourselves, yet when we begin our sadhna, we have to start as a Jiva and the god as our goal. We have also to keep in mind that God just did not make the universe and is sitting like a cruel king to rule it. God has become Universe Himself and is helping the Lower Prakiti to realise its permanent Unity with Him. Why prayers are most of the times not replied to? First we have to bear in mind that prayer is a very powerful tool and it can not go unanswered. But why then most of us fail ? There may be many reasons. First and the most important aspect of prayer is full faith in the power we are praying to. If we dont have faith from our inner heart, prayer is not going to be heard by Him. Once there was no rain in the region, and the local priest asked all the villagers to gather in the village temple to pray for rain. When all the villagers reached the temple, the priest came out and said - No prayer today, becoz god is not going to listen to you! "Why" asked the irated villagers. Priest said," becoz none of you brought umbrellas with you - you had no faith in god that it may rain while on return". Second most important point to remember is that Prayer not necessarily means sitting before god for 5 minutes and utter goody- goody words. Those who consider all 24 hours of the day as their Sadhna, get their prayers listened and answered for sure. The Universal System of Energy, call it God or krishna or shiva or Braham, is constantly listening to us. He is aware of each of our thought, each of our desire. So if we pray for 5/10 mnts and other 23.50 hrs we are busy in thinking dirty, System is not going to reply to that 5/10 mnts.... It will look at the whole day and then it choses the most powerful desire/thoughts and acts on that. Hence we have to correct our thinking/desires for the non-puja period too. Third and a very powerful point is that If we have made a little progress on sadhna and the System is keen to keep us on the path, It will not provide us with those things which go against our sadhna. Like if money is going to move us away from sadhna, Godwill never provide us money! Even strongest of prayers will not yield results. If these three points are kept in mind....i am sure our prayers will yield fast results. Also if a prayer is not fulfilled, we should not lose faith...otherwise it will act as a negative force, when we next time go for prayers. Tagore has written in Gitanjali "O God...let me not be proud in times of good luck....but more important is when i am rejected by others..when i am in distress...let me not question my faith in you in darker times too " hari aum
