Dear Marco Ji

Namaskar and thank you for your message........first of all it seems you have

accepted your own Upa Guru that is within you as your Guru and seems you have

also accepted Thomas Ashley Farrand or NamaDeva as your Guru also

Physical Logistics you mentioned

dont have a place

when you are chanting

beyond time and space

You have the sounds and the books and the ability to chant according to the

Devanagari Alphabet so is best to commend your self on a job well done

Dear Friends,

I've started chanting mantras from Thomas Ashley Ferrand Audio Course.

I think I am receiving some benefits, but I'm a bit concerned about possible negative effects I cannot control.

Unfortunately I don't know if in Italy there are Gurus who can correctly teach mantra chanting.

Do you know what are real risks in chanting without a Guru?

Thank you in advance.

Marco

Namaskar and thank you for your reply........you are most welcome and is good

you are useing a pro active approach to Fearless Life......In India there is

the principle of the Upa Guru that can be said to be your feeling of

intuition......or in the west we say following your heart......same

applies.........listen to inner voice and go forward for the best of all concerned

Wishing you and Family the Best

(pls dont hesitate if there is any question)

Yes sir, I have a question. Is mere repetation of mantra (a few hundred thousand times) all that takes to solve life's complex problems ? Is it ever possible to give an exact number of times one should recite the mantra to awaken its power? one mantra offers me Moksha, another offers me all worldy comforts + moksha (double treat!!). Why would I even think of getting fleeting worldly comforts if I can get moksha !

The purpose of life is to seek Knowledge, to realize the Truth about our selves. The paths of Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga are nothing but ways of to seek this knoweldge. A person may not be aware that the real goal of life is knowledge and not happiness. Happiness is a byproduct. Even if one starts with the intention of seeking happiness, there comes a point when he understands the true purpose of life. Gods and Goddesses are manifestations of Brahman. In my opinion, they are product of our own imagination and belief. They are not universal, because if they were, then Non-Hindus would also have had visions of the same deities by default. But that is not the case. These deities lead us forward on the path of to seek the knowledge of Brahman. In my opinion it is ridiculous to post mantras and authoritatively state the number of times one needs to recite them and declare the benefits one gains from such recitations...
